tbf, if it's a matter of covering identity, using a sock just to tell the mods this person sucks with no caps as proof isn't going to get anywhere with any mod team, whether they're buddies or not. but,

> so any cap will be identifying even with name blocked out if jade sees them
> if jade is a mod friend, jade will probably see them
> worst-case scenario is targeted harassment + the mods potentially not doing anything about their friend

still hope somebody goes in with caps personally, i agree there. but the chances of those caps staying anon from jade are also just objectively pretty low, so it's gonna have to be another thing where the reporter's ready to get de-anon'd to jade and potentially harassed if they go through with it etc
