op here. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been through something similar.
I just needed to vent because I know I cannot approach this person and even say something as gentle as “that was a bit harsh” or “you’re being pretty negative” without fielding a world-shaking pity party and three days of them being too depressed to do anything, thus punishing everyone else in the game.
(And worse, this person then has a habit of going and deleting whole conversations in the discord, so you start questioning reality. “Was I being mean? No, I thought that was pretty neutral…right?” I’m pretty sure that’s actual gaslighting.)
