they might have thought your writing was boring. running in to a character on accident is pretty standard shit, but i can still think of things off the top of my head to do to spice it up. maybe their character could have been holding a hot cup of coffee, something breakable, maybe they dropped their fancy amazing magical girl weapon, maybe their character could have grilled yours for info, if it was an intro log.

it's likely they just weren't trying, either because they didn't like your character, didn't like you, or because they're one of those players who expects everyone to do all the work for them. they want you to act so they can react, and that's all they know how to do.
