they're quoting a newspaper about something that actually happened in real life.

visualosities or whatever are just pretty pictures or sometimes quotes from fictional stories.

there is your difference.

fiction explores things that actually happen in real life, what a massive shocker. some of that is unpleasant, heavy shit.

if they're not fetishizing it or idealizing it or defiling it and approaching the subject respectfully as is seen in this case? there is not a problem.

surprisingly i'm not them, but another player from marvel canon. i haven't played in games for about a year now. your contribution to this discussion is so astounding that my mind is blown.

look. just because the majority of dw rp uses role play as a superficial exercise in which they derive entertainment from shipping and cracky wacky funtiems, absolutely 100% does not mean that that's what's going on here. some people use rp for superficial reasons, others use it to explore deeper subjects.

if that subject is respected in the context that it is being used in, i.e., this player is referencing the holocaust in a way that is absolutely inoffensive in the journal for a major character who is a holocaust survivor and whose sole goals and motivations are driven by that fact, there is literally no reason that this is unacceptable or politically incorrect.

like i said. if they were fetishizing the holocaust, or making fun of it, or otherwise using it for superficial reasons (like crack or shipping or etc), there'd be a problem. they're not. they're approaching a real-life, traumatic event with a character appropriate for that situation.
