To be honest, while I have no problem with how the plot is being carried out, I'm kind of uncomfortable with how powerful Ganondorf is during all of this. Magicking a bunch of animals in Luceti to do his bidding, creating minions from reanimated skeletons, building a large dungeon-like tower, and brainwashing people in Luceti all without having been given some kind of power amplification mallynap effect? Why do we even have a powercap?
He does link videos and examples of how he's able to do this in the plotting post- but that's at full power isn't it? How's he explaining this sudden lack of a power cap for one character in particular? Would this be allowed if it was another player? That is what I am wondering.
I don't know about Xion since I don't think I was there for it, but Noel was because of a kidnapping effect, wasn't it? This looks more like it's just what Ganondorf's normal in-Luceti strength could be if he went all-out.
I was here for the Xion event. It was set up similarly to this one, with
(spoilers for that one Kingdom Hearts game Xion's in)
Xion losing her shit and becoming this giant monster with several forms that needs to be taken down. She was asking for characters to team up, and the way it was written the whole village could have been impacted. A kidnapping might have been involved, but only as much as a kidnapping's involved in Ganon's post, I think.
(end spoiler)
This event doesn't bother me. It's giving the hero characters something to do. There's a big disruptive thing to fight, and I don't care if it's a mod event or a player event. My guy's going to get off the couch for a while and swing his sword at things and work off that "unlimited beer and donuts" potbelly.
I'm excited to have something for my hero character to fight that isn't on a draft. Maybe he won't be able to kick it's ass, but that will make it more fun.
