so the mods should just get rid of all the people judging apps that you don't like even if nobody better volunteers to replace them

but i'm sure you wouldn't complain AT ALL then if the app processing lag time doubled or tripled because they're handling them all themselves and they aren't goddamn wizards
app standards would be better just like you want then so of course there wouldn't be a peep out of you if it took some extra weeks to process your next app
It can be done. In another game I'm in there are 3 mods who handle everything including apps. App cycle is the 1st-10th and all apps are processed by the 12th at the latest.
These mods all work or go to school full time so it isn't a matter of them sitting around doing nothing all day. And while occasionally a bad app does get in, for the most part they do a pretty fucking good job of being on top of things.
School fulltime isn't the same as a job full time. Or a school and a job. Not saying that these mods are dealing with this exact stuff but not everyone can or wants to devote their every waking free moment to running a game.
They're people to who have lives and other interests and obligations outside of this one hobby.
You're right, because law school (which the main mod is doing) is an easy thing.
And yes, mods have the right to lives and other things but if you want to run a game it requires time from you. If you're going to agree to doing it you should be willing to put in the time needed or see to it that things get done properly.
My point was in my other game one of the mods is going to law school and still has time to make sure her game is being run so that apps are done on time. If you are going to run a game, you need to put some time into it. Yes RL is always more important, but if you can't keep up with running a game step down or ask for more help.
The app team is wildly inconsistent at best, the list mods never do their jobs, and the mods haven't chosen any new people to add onto either team since they asked for help over a month ago. Things aren't going up anywhere near the date they're supposed to.
Nothing against either Mara or Sylvia, but they need to get into gear or admit they need a third or fourth admin mod.
They added a new list mod (there was no announcement, but I noticed the name on the list of helper mods) and as far as I can see there has been an improvement in clearing out drops, adding to the taken list, etc.
It may have just been last month that they got knocked really off-kilter. Like, the calendar was up early this month (even though they forgot to link it, it was there), and things have been processed and answered a lot quicker so far. I haven't seen any questions left sitting more than a couple days.
