How the fuck does 'shounen hero' equate to 'stupid dumbass' to so many RPers?
I play a young protagonist, but does that mean he would out the villain of his canon in a jamjar? Fuck no. He's smart enough to know it's a stupid idea and that it would only get him eyeballed and the villain would wiggle out of it.
He might warn a person or two most important to him, but he's just going to keep an eye on the guy personally.
It annoys me that every main character from an anime/video game/whatnot is getting dumped under this tagline and assumed way of thinking and tossed aside.
I always thought that "shounen heroes" referred to shounen heroes.
Just shounen heroes. Young boy leads specifically from shounen-targeted series. There is an archetype; exceptions too, but a definite archetype, and "shounen heroes" refers to those characters. Not "every main character from an anime/video game/whatnot."
Not even every anime, just shounen anime. You know, as the term implies.
