It's an "I did this, it was fucked up, I'm sorry." I was skimming so I might have missed things, but it read like an apology rather than an excuse to me.
Do you fucking remember Ken's? The difference between these two is night and goddamn day. Ken's read like a fucking Playboy letter and was victim-blamey as shit.
Look, I'm not defending the dude or his actions, I think it's scummy as fuck, but this comes close to the level of "actual apology" than Ken's ever could.
