i hate video games because i suck at them and don't care enough to sit through lps where some player runs around for fifty minutes and i barely learn anything about what is going on. i only want to know them for the characters and storylines, anyway.

I don't hate LA. I just don't have any interest in it, and while I don't mind threading with LA characters, I don't really seek them out (because I know nothing about their canons, and their blandly attractive actors don't interest me).

this is 100% how i feel about anime.

i don't hate live action

i like shit like avengers, supernatural, game of thrones, etc because i like fantasy and epic shit

what i don't like is doctor who, sherlock, teen wolf, vampire diaries, and all the other britaboo and ya bullshit

but if you like one from the top you're expected to like the bottom, too

no, fuck off, i prefer anime

i'm a huge vampire fiction fan and still couldn't get into tvd or true blood. and it's like i'm considered a terrible vampire fan for not wanting to bang actors from those canons. they're just too melodramatic and teenage relationship angst for me.

give me the epic fantasy and anime any day of the week

i don't hate live action at all actually

i just hate many of the live action series that are popular around here like supernatural, teen wolf, sherlock, buffy, vampire diaries etc.

there are plenty of la series that i love, they just aren't the ones that everyone else watches.

i just don't like anime art and there are some cultural aspects i don't like especially about women. i have a more difficult time finding a niche and what i might be interested in, either because i hate the art or the characters are too young (i like older characters and am drawn to them more). i hate when i'm told i'm not looking hard enough. sorry but i'm a lazy fuck.

i don't like a lot of popular live action shit (mcu, spn, britaboo shit, ouat, what else is cool right now i probably don't like it) either and i think most of it is awful and i think the actors aren't attractive too.

i mostly play from western media. i will rp with anyone though. just because i don't find the art of free attractive doesn't mean the character i play wouldn't find them attractive or i don't want to play with you. this goes for any medium.

when i try to explain that i don't like something, i'm sick of being jumped on for medium divide. why can't i just not like something?

But yeah, honestly as long as you don't just thumb your nose at crossmedium tags, I've got no problem with you not being big on anime or video games or whatever else. The issue at hand isn't not liking something, just attitudes like "I hope more games ban anime" which serve no purpose whatsoever.

i don't hate it, i just don't care. which gets translated as hate, because apparently you must either love something or loathe it, there is no room for utter fucking indifference.

i'll still tag people who play from it if they tag me first, and seek them out if they have a post or plot my character would get involved in, i just don't want to watch the shows myself, or read a dissertation on them.

i don't find la shows interesting, and the movies i like are always fadcanons or so i know in a month no one will care anymore and i'll lose all my castmates.

i also hate la fandoms. superwholocks are the scum of tumblr tbh and i'm not about to potentially get mixed up with people who think they're "too mature for anime" (actual quote i've heard, btw)

tl;dr fadhoppers and bad experiences

but i do hate shows with 100 filler episodes, characters with convenient amnesia for past events, and inconsistent characterization because the writers pull shit out of their asses every week

which is the majority of live action

I have such a lovehate relationship with comics cause even though I play from it occasionally, ohmygod most comics players are SO BAD. or, they pull a rys/cheesburgermarvel and just slap a pb on there for no discernable reason.

my love/hate is video games more so due to never being able to afford to play half of the popular stuff

and when i do get a chance to play i just suck at them, so it's more jealousy than actual frothing rage about them. but some of my best cr has been with video characters! :)
