Judging from the "no anime or video game" rule and the reserves, I'm pretty confident I know who at least one of the mods are and she's gone on record as stating that she doesn't like anime or video game characters or want to tag any of them. That was one of the things that she claimed had stopped her from joining a panfandom game in the past, so I'm guessing she made her own game where she wouldn't have to.
okay i can see the anime thing, whatever, but what the fuck with video games, especially western-influenced games? graphics are so high-res these days that you can't even tell the difference between a character in those and a real person half the time.
whoever this bitch is they are being incredibly fucking arbitrary and for someone in a writing hobby they've got an awfully narrow-minded and uncreative way of thinking. they're not someone i'd want to play with, regardless of medium.
So either you play in a panmedium game and end up not tagging with anime characters and get called a snob and told to make your own game or you make your own game and get called a narrow minded bitch.
nobody complains about people not tagging crossmedium in games because everyone tends to run in their own circles anyway and yes, you'll have a small number bitch and complain that x or y is cliquish or a snob but on the whole no one really cares because you can do this thing called scrolling. less butthurt, you still only have to tag who you want to tag with, everybody wins.
this is not the same thing. it's blatantly waving a flag around that certain groups aren't welcome, period, full stop, and not for a reason that makes any sense in regards to the premise. they can do that if they want, but as another anon pointed out, they're going to get called on the mat for it. make stupid rules, you're going to get criticized. that's how it goes around here.
so no, we won't change, and if you don't like it, maybe it's you who should go find the door.
