I can understand why people find the relationship squicky. Especially if the younger character is one who has been abused in the past and is more vulnerable.

But my understanding is that the game is a horror game, and deals with adult issues and squick. And that such a relationship between those characters is not OOC, though it might be distasteful or disturbing to others. If it's sufficiently warned for and behind a cut so that those who want to avoid being disturbed can opt out of looking at it, I don't understand what the problem is.
