i remember when madoka was big, i had no less than 4 people on my timeline with that kyuubey face as their display name

and several people they had added had it, too

was glad when they finally changed and i could tell them apart again because that was obnoxious

I remember a super obnoxious couple on plurk that switched names in synch and matched them every. damn. time. Seriously obnoxious, and specially when their names matched their OTP's. ("The Kyoko to my Sayaka", etc.)

i think this is cute, when it's not a fad canon and there aren't a million people doing it with the same characters, but that's just me

A bunch of players in my game changed their display names to a homestuck injoke. The same homestuck injoke. Some of them were polite enough to use different colors but the colors don't show up on the mobile. I can't tell a single one of them apart. My urge to mass defriend has never been higher.
