I often feel bad about not tagging posts with very few replies, but I can't force myself to tag something that doesn't interest my characters and even if I could find some obscure reason to tag it, I don't want to force a tag just be a "pity-tagger."

If there's no reason for my characters to tag it, I'm not going to tag it. It doesn't matter if it has one tag or one hundred.
