it depends. if it happened without any warning and i couldn't figure out any reason they would defriend me, i'd send them a private plurk if possible to ask them what gives.
but if i could pinpoint a likely cause, like an announced plurk cut or something bad that happened lately, i'd let it go.
This. You could add them back and approach them in a private plurk, but sometimes people are reluctant to do that because it could be putting pressure on someone who's nursing some bad feelings.
Some people also do a cut like 30 minutes after doing the announcement, which is a bad idea. It may be that they just did a group cut and said that if they cut anyone who wanted to stay that person should just add them back. You can't see that if you weren't looking at your timeline in the small window of time that they left for you.
They obviously aren't interested in communicating with me so it'd be douchey to chase after them and demand answers I'm not really entitled to. I just completely ignore their existence in my games from there on out.
If they didn't offer you an explanation already, they clearly don't want to speak to you. And if it's some PA thing where they want you to come to them first and ask them why they cut you, you're better off without them.
I've seen glitches happen from time to time where plurk spontaneously defriends people from each other, and while this doesn't happen much, it's still always a possibility.
So, unless you can think of a reason why they might have defriended you, then I'd say go for pping them to ask.
I'd ask if we were long-time friends and had been chatting recently, plotting together, etc, because that would be weird and out of the blue and either they defriended by accident or they're mad at me for some mysterious reason.
Someone I haven't talked to in a long time? Eh, that's the way things go.
