Put your name/mun journal/plurk/some form of way to 'check' on you on the profile page. It's very unfortunate that others don't have to do this, but if there's a way to associate the player to someone who's obviously not him, then that's a green light in my book. Example: your Shiki journal is joined to your musebox where you have active characters in other games, dating from at least a few months back. Hellion can't have presently active characters in games for more than a month or two, journal date creation (of any other muses you play that can be associated to you), game record, comment count are things he can't fake on the go. Same with plurk accounts, he can't have one older than a few months. As a player with my share of Tsukihime journals, I'm every bit as annoyed as you because I actively track the tag at d_m and would love to thread with anyone else interested in playing from the fandom, but I don't want to be wary of him every step of the way. I sincerely hope that this doesn't turn many people away though, but that's the best compromise that I sadly can think of. Again, sorry to hear, anon :( I'd thread with your Shiki!

oooooooooooooooooooor you could just play the character as you will under your own dictions and not worry about what every person thinks. Especially given this place has the collective memory of a goldfish (given how we've got Hellion/Trek in the namedrop thread asking for all the deets despite him being more or less THE CATALYST for wankgate's birth).

Really no one is going to give a fuck so long as:

- You play a good character
- You are not an ass-smear to deal with oocly
- You do not go "AHA, YOU'VE FALLEN FOR MY CLEVER PLAN" several months down the road.

The only exceptions to whom this would apply would be the ones Trek stalked the most. Otherwise, no1curr, keep calm and app turkeyhandles.

even the people that hellion/trek have stalked don't really care. his accounts are incredibly fresh, and he still rps the same even under different handles.

to OP - yeah, people usually have apprehensions about shiki but no one is going to immediately brand you as hellion. they're most likely going to briefly skim your shit for proof that you're legit, and, as long as you contain some link to a musebox/active plurk/some other form of identification that isn't sketchy, they're not going to freak the fuck out and smear you all over these communities.

half of these are what people usually do with their characters (or at least provide a means of ooc contact). this isn't that hard to do or avoid. don't give reason for people to think you're suspicious and they won't think you're suspicious. poor you, you have to do things most rpers normally do by default to clear your name. it must be so hard.

Agreed with this entirely. I'm actually pretty sure most people associate Shiki with the one that's at Asgard currently than Hellion. So I don't think the character really has a 'stain' in the first place.

Even if Shiki did, I still agree with you completely.
