they think they've done something wrong if that development doesn't fall in line with how a characters acts in later canonpoints after the one they app'd.
i had an argument here with someone who thought this a couple of weeks ago, it was so frustrating
it really is because in-game occurrences shouldn't line up with canon. they're in a completely different setting and would react differently to what's happening around whether they're a protagonist or a villain. sometimes i wish it was so stigmatized so deviate, to a certain degree, in a game setting.
