i'm a longtime conan fan and i was rather horrified by how she makes shinichi/conan act really stupid and childish so she can get hurt/comfort threads

Maybe. She did the same ooc shit in box with her Harry Potter. She conveniently forgot he knew how to swim for drowning h/c in the flood event.
