yeah. he still seems to have knowledge of things from his world so that conclusion could've been possible, but it's still a huge stretch. shouldn't count on something like that to come up.
1) Have Bill sharpen the end of his cane rather than using an arrow, he kills her with that, maybe have some hints towards that around the castle (i.e. maybe there are some wood shavings in the kitchen??)
2) He plants the arrow there instead of a rapier to frame Gaston
It might've been too simple, but honestly that would've worked so much better for me
