dda, not at all. i think maybe you're a bit younger? i'd say anyone over 25 would probably know?
either way, he's actually still in a lot of stuff. he just sticks primarily to voice acting (lbr is there a joker better than him?) and the occasional shitty b-movie. i've honestly enjoyed more things that he's done since 1990 than harrison ford has.
i'm almost 40. i just didn't pay much attention to star wars or anything related to star wars. and since he hasn't been in much where i've been able to actually see him, he's been off my radar for a few decades now, except for that time when i had gen in a game with me.
i thought it was a reasonable assumption since i remember it being pretty big news/brought up a lot by relatives even (who weren't nerds by a stretch and hate sci-fi, even).
either way, i'm really sorry that's your only exposure. yuck.
it's not a big deal. it's just that people should possibly be cut some slack about not knowing a "big" news story that's got to be, what, 30 years old by now?
they're not being "gross" or ableist, or whatever that anon was thinking. i'm sure they just didn't know.
