The effects of it are still being felt today - descendants of both Vietnamese civilians and US soldiers are being born with birth defects because their parents were exposed to Agent Orange during the war. I used to think AO (the RPer) was really cool but for the life of me I can't understand why someone would want this as their handle

just felt i should jump in here - i was going to leave this alone but i think it deserves a little explanation! I for sure agree it was in very bad taste and I'm definitely embarrassed by it now as an adult. i've also talked about it before with people who know me, but for the record the name was a bad decision of a 15-year old me (it was the name of my horse at the time, and I didn't understand what it was). I haven't use the name in nearly a decade either.

i totally agree with you guys and i'd like to offer an apology again for dumb kid shit and i'm only responding bc I don't want people who are familiar with my handle now to think I still go by that name or think its something im okay with.

it's cool so long as you're not using it anymore! we all do embarrassing, sometimes offensive shit when we're younger. it sounds like you didn't choose it just to be ~edgy~, at least.
