no real deets other than a popular player dropped after their cr plotted out some murder on plurk. there aren't any pastebins because that player isn't on plurk. which is probably what led to the situation. a lot of plotting happens there. if you aren't on it and don't speak up, people aren't going to know you object to something. from what was said, it looks like the player did reach out, but it may have been too far along the plotting process for one of the others to want to drop it.

how close does close CR have to be in order to be able to veto a plotted murder?

(Anonymous) 2016-01-16 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
pretty sure at least for one of those murders the character who dropped is in love with the murderer and one of the only positive pieces of cr for the victim. that seems close enough for a veto.

pretty sure that one was going to be a secret

thanks, this is already more deets than the vague shit being said on rpa (and getting lost in the horror no horror debate). def have to question dropping over something like this tho; i mean, unless their character wanted to murder the intended victim first or something?? sure, gamemates may create a plot you didn't expect or may not love, but isn't that kind of the point in playing in a game and not a psl?

it's not really as simple as that the character is popular but only has a few close cr. having four of your close cr murder or be murdered in quick succession is probably something you should have a say in. at least some compromise so you can avoid having your character go into an angst spiral. i've seen that happen to other characters and they usually end up dropping because there are some things you can't really pull a character back from.

here's where I kanye shrug and suggest not forming close cr with canonical murderers?

depends? does the player know the chars are murdering murderers? have they given any inclination of that to the character? were things going fine until this specific event? it's not like the game is huge, anon. if half or more of your cr suddenly shifts the paradigm of your cr on you without notice, i might drop too.

Or the dropped player might finally be questioning their character's game suitability.

Which is fine. Lots of us have.

da but i don't think that's the case... the character was doing just fine in the game beforehand. their character was even doing better than the basketball animu kids when we had them around.

a oc that is the end of the universe and nulls everyone's powers couldn't rewind it?

Re: ayrt

(Anonymous) 2016-01-16 09:43 am (UTC)(link)
is that even one of the things the oc can do? i didn't read their app, but they probably shouldn't be pulling out powers from nowhere if it wasn't noted as an ability before.

(Anonymous) 2016-01-16 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
idk but going by their timeline oc has fought creation and is the manifestation of the end of the universe. maybe they could?

(Anonymous) 2016-01-16 10:13 am (UTC)(link)
i wouldn't know, i'm not really invested enough to read through and check.

but even if they could, that's still something the player would have to ask the other players about. if the fallout of the murders is something the other players won't budge on, then that player is still out of luck with dealing with it anyway.
