I can tell you've never worked in an office. Where grown ass adults rip each other apart over who did or did not have a lunch in the fridge, who did or did not clean the microwave, who MIGHT have said what at the water cooler, etc.

This. It is jarring to see people who are my parent's age act like they're still in middle school.

There is so much drama in the senior citizen's club, dear lord. (My aunt became president basically via a coup.)

the idea that people mature with age is a lie. you may know more as you grow older, and you may not be as quick to anger because of it, but unless you're fortunate enough to surround yourself with levelheaded people, the drama you thought you left in high school never actually ends.
