she gets people in based on a niche interest (su in this case) and then butters them up with how ~special~ they are to be allowed in her game and to play with ~her~
so when she starts in with the abuse they don't leave because they think it's a golden opportunity, it's the only su game on dw and they'll miss out on ~sooo much~ if they leave and besides all their friends are there!
if she's not recruiting for scientology yet, she should be
