The majority of the fandom LOVED act 5. The people who didn't were generally those who had gotten into it during the earlier acts and weren't really enjoying how the trolls had become major characters; some felt that it took away from the beta kids whom they were primarily interested in. But 80% of the fandom? were ALL OVER act 5.
Act 6 alienated a ton of people because they were there for the cool aliens their friends had told them about and were pissed that 80% of them were irrelevant and/or dead. Another reason is that people were either annoyed by the alpha kids or massively underwhelmed by how the beta kids were split up and relegated to dull intermissions in which nothing really happened.
