People whiteknight Quix because there are so few people willing to mod, let alone take a risk on modding multiple games that aren't generic jamjars. Quix is willing to create and moderate unique game ideas to completion and can be a lot of fun to play with.
That said, this controlling, defensive behavior of hers goes back a long long way and it takes some people a while to realize that. I still remember her giving a friend of mine a really long critique on their HMD because they made what was essentially an "X did nothing wrong!" joke on plurk, and Quix thought they genuinely believed their character did nothing wrong.
