keep clutching your pearls. he was frozen for 70+ years. sharon's likely a 'niece' in that she's a child of a child of her sibling. if she was born of peggy's children's generation, she'd be too old. so yeah, she's a distant relative. peggy's a great-aunt (unless peggy had a baby sibling who then had a child 40+ years later).

sharon's in her early 30s. she's in a reasonable age bracket to be a child of peggy's sibling, especially if they were a younger sibling. disregarding that, peggy and sharon were close enough that sharon was asked to speak at peggy's funeral and that peggy was the inspiration for sharon joining shield. she was, at the very least, a grandmother figure.

if you don't see how there's something weird about listening to your old-ass aunt talking about this hunk she wanted to take to the malt shop then deciding you want to get some of that dick, idk what to tell you.

steve's in his early 30s too. that doesn't magically erase 70+ years of time going by. if peggy had a sibling that was five years younger who then had their own child, there's no way they waited 40+ years to have a child to have sharon be that child. so it's likely there's another generation in there. math. it's your friend. use it.

as for the rest of it, i'm not negating that sharon/peggy were close, but steve rogers/captain america was an icon for two-three generations. lots of people probably talked about steve rogers. what about all the uso girls? what if he dated one of their grandchildren/relatives? why is it only weird that a girl he didn't even date had a kid who grew up to have a thing for him? let me tell you something, Pearl, if my grandmother knew a guy and had a thing for him and he was frozen in time and i knew him and he was a steve rogers hunk? you bet your ass i'd try to hit that.
