except you're the one stretching your headcanon out and that kiss as he got in the carrier was the first kiss they had. it held significance to it and it's why missing out on the date was such a big deal for him. if you can't get that from the movie and the context of it, that's your issue, not anyone else's. secondly, his interest in sharon started way before he ever had any notion of there being a familial tie. they're 'of an age', they were in proximity and had the same work deal going on, and while he was pissed at her, clearly he got over it.
steve didn't replace peggy. he got past the memory and fantasy of what could have been. that it was sharon was just a weird twist of fate. i also don't like the ship, but there's no reason to bring 'trying to bang the whole carter family' into it when that's not the case. i'm sorry that you can't understand that people, even fake ones, can have a 'type'. steve like strong, dominant women. good place to find that is in the military or agencies like SHIELD. like, wow. you're clinging really hard to it being some creepy intentional move, like he was stalking the carter family and just notching his belt with each carter vag he plugged. not the case.
i won't argue whether steve is/isn't a virgin, since we have no idea what happened in his life beyond 'waiting for the right girl' and if that carried over post serum during his uso days, but i can pretty much guarantee that he and peggy never got that far. so, you know, sorry if you're a peggy player and you're using that as headcanon to justify some oc that's a peggy/steve secret love child, but no.
