anon, just because something has a target demographic doesn't mean all audiences can't enjoy it. pokemon is directly primarily at children. that's who they're trying to sell it to. adults can play it and enjoy it and gamefreak is aware that pokemon has a large adult fanbase, but the target demographic is still children.
