I've got some old grudges against Lynn that aren't worth airing out here, but I'm glad that I'm not the only person that thought that she was a toxic asshole. If she does app, I plan on telling the mods what she did to me, and I hope enough people will do the same to keep her out.
I kind of want to say 'don't do anything until a complaint/request is brought to you', but with how horrible players can be with actually bringing things to the mods, preemptive can sometimes be better. In which case, I'd do two things. 1- Have a private talk/PM with the old mod saying stuff that you don't appreciate the shit stirring over something you weren't given. Remind them of what was handed off to you, and that if they'd had things they'd wanted to add to it, they could have at any point. Let them know this is a first 'strike', since it can be taken as trying to turn the game against the new modship. 2- make an ooc post that states that while the new mods appreciate the time and effort the old mods put into it, you can only work with what you were given, and with the information that had been passed on, you took a route that is clearly different from how the old mods would have liked. This doesn't make it better or worse, but maybe add that if people have a problem with the current plot or any suggestions, there are places to do that, like the contact page or pming the mods. Don't mention anything about the old mods or any strikes given. If they want to keep trying to stir shit because of their previous attempts and getting called out for it, boot them.
waiting until they fuck up enough to boot isn't alway the best action. maybe let them know they're making it difficult to work with and while it's not an official strike or anything, you would like to see them change their gameplay.
