People who ask how long app processing is going to take... like right after they submit their app.
Chill the fuck out, we're getting to it. If it's been a week and there's been no change in the app page, THEN you have a reason to ask. Otherwise? Shut up and be patient like everyone else, we're not 24/7 app-reading machines.
i'd say the names that come up with the most frequency have been critted until people are blue in the face with them. jex/madeline, selwyn, mike, kayvin, phase, tora, tally, pyra, gonsai, quix and harry. they know what they're doing is unwelcome and wrong. they give no fucks.
other name drops pass virtually unnoticed unless a friend or the person themselves comes here to play white knight. then the thread blows up because people see a lot of responses to it, get curious, check it out, and start shit posting because they can get a reaction.
sure it sucks to see a friend dragged. tbh, you'd be doing them more of a favor to keep your mouth shut. if it's one person shouting into a vacuum it becomes pretty obvious pretty fast.
Yup, all of this. When someone dropped me on here, all of my HMDs sat empty, anon Plurk HMDs only had nice things to say, no PMs, nothing. So saying 'this person doesn't react well to concrit' doesn't apply because there was literally no crit ever given. I actually respond very well to concrit, especially if I'm allowed a chance to explain myself. If I'm in the wrong, I can admit that and try to be a better RPer.
Going on a tangent about this, but I once played a Harry Potter OC in an AU game (don't judge, it was years ago). An evil wizard was firing killing spells into a fleeing crowd of screaming people. My character summoned a flock of birds, because my train of thought was 'these will be a web of living targets that will intercept the spell before it hits a person.' But the person in charge of the scene didn't realize this and for weeks afterward kept having high-ranking characters talk about how stupid my character was to the point where I finally said "OKAY LOOK I'm getting tired of this, here's what happened." They apologized and said the idea was actually clever, and there was no bad blood between us because we worked things out.
Moral of the long and rambling story: communicate. It works wonders.
FWIW, the faggot joke was one crass character calling another character a faggot. Her character was oblivious to the meaning and thought they were referring to a cigarette. It's dumb, but not as wankworthy as people want it to be.
But the guilt tripping and harassing people for tags? That should absolutely be brought up as a problem.
the funniest part (if you could call it funny) is that zelos just straight up started choking the maid out in the open in crosscheck. like anyone could see this going on but he went ahead with it anyway because apparently that's totally a thing he would do?
it's been some time since i've played symphonia myself but holy shit, even i could write zelos better than this. i'm surprised no one crit her for that incident alone.
it's almost like there are a slew of different anons responding in this thread to different things, or are you one of those who thinks everyone else but you and one other person is magically the same anon?
it's almost like it's common pratice for cartoons and animation to contain stuff and references that's not for kids when the intended project is something that the entire family to enjoy. Which is what Rebbecca said Steven Universe target was. Something to enjoy with your younger or older siblings.
so in other words yes they totally reference sexual shit and cartoons have been referencing that since oswald the lucky rabbit cartoons. Almost every shout and reference in steven universe is for older audience, we just got one this week too.
"What is this a concert for ants?" From Zoolander, something very few little kids would have watched/remembered anything from because the movie is 15 years old
they're not going to make one of the central elements of the series a sexual reference, anon, no matter how hard you stamp your feet.
a throw-away reference, maybe, but not something that's a consistent and important part of the franchise. especially one they've gone out of their way to explain as something that's not sex.
