you mean the episode where greg and rose have issues on account of being two different species but talk it through and attempt to work things out? not sure what that has to do with pearl.
if you plurk to flail about thread a, why do you need to make a totally new plurk for thread b 5 minutes later
why cant you contain your commentary to one plurk a day. your characters development isnt that interesting to most of us bud.
i probably wouldnt mind so much if 4 uninvolved people huffed up on your farts didnt also decide to plurk about the same thread and flail over it 2 mins after you do.
the whole point of 'we need to talk' was that their relationship WAS pretty messed up (rose was treating it like a fun fling with no substance, probably the way she treated all the other people she'd been with in the past, and greg had issues feeling like he wasn't respected/etc. that he didn't bring up, just for starters), but they eventually learned to start to address it and communicate.
i'd never say any character or relationship on this show is perfect but i will say that i don't see what that ep has to do with pearl at all
a big part of it is because they are textured and animated as if they ARE sprites. Key frame animation, flat color blends, squash and stretch, etc. It basically creates the illusion of them being 2D
Why is there always some chucklehead who obsesses in the FAQ over hypothetical situations that will never come up? I thought it was just my game, but looking at other game FAQs, it's a common and annoying trend. If that sort of thing is actually going to affect your character in the near future, sure, ask away. But stop wasting our time with your flailing and hyperventilating over one little nitpicky thing that just ain't gonna happen, dude.
shieth was on my dash before I even knew there was a voltron reboot, but when I finally binge watched it (like literally this weekend), I didn't see it at ALL. keith barely has lines in the first place let alone any subtext laden homotalks with shiro.
I can't really see klance either but it has more weight
Right... And at the end of last night's episode pearl and Greg finally communicate.
boiling pearl down as "clingy jealous lesbian" is such a shallow understanding of her character. she didn't see Greg as a serious rival for roses affection until it became serious - with Steven. And she couldn't come to terms with the fact that she lost the gem she loved to someone like that. But at the end of drop beat dad, she finally openly communicates with him and they come to understand that they have more in common than just being rivals.
pearl isn't a saint but neither is any character in the show. It's been three seasons, anyone should know that
I agree that Pearl is a nuanced character and acting like she's Satan incarnate is dumb, but not everyone has to be okay with the shit she pulls because she's coping badly.
no, but my point is that boiling pearl down to "jealous lesbian" is trite. It's a bad trope and honestly pretty offensive, and I don't think su is pulling it.
