as someone who hasn't played guilty gear for almost ten years, hearing this about the tutorial mode is encouraging. thanks anons.
I didn't but I think I will now. I wasn't a big fan of the mecha genre growing up but the new series grabbed my interest. I'm curious.

the whole point of 'we need to talk' was that their relationship WAS pretty messed up (rose was treating it like a fun fling with no substance, probably the way she treated all the other people she'd been with in the past, and greg had issues feeling like he wasn't respected/etc. that he didn't bring up, just for starters), but they eventually learned to start to address it and communicate.
i'd never say any character or relationship on this show is perfect but i will say that i don't see what that ep has to do with pearl at all

a big part of it is because they are textured and animated as if they ARE sprites. Key frame animation, flat color blends, squash and stretch, etc. It basically creates the illusion of them being 2D
Why is there always some chucklehead who obsesses in the FAQ over hypothetical situations that will never come up? I thought it was just my game, but looking at other game FAQs, it's a common and annoying trend. If that sort of thing is actually going to affect your character in the near future, sure, ask away. boiling pearl down as "clingy jealous lesbian" is such a shallow understanding of her character. she didn't see Greg as a serious rival for roses affection until it became serious - with Steven. And she couldn't come to terms with the fact that she lost the gem she loved to someone like that. But at the end of drop beat dad, she finally openly communicates with him and they come to understand that they have more in common than just being rivals.
pearl isn't a saint but neither is any character in the show. It's been three seasons, anyone should know that

I agree that Pearl is a nuanced character and acting like she's Satan incarnate is dumb, but not everyone has to be okay with the shit she pulls because she's coping badly.
