Her poor activity has everything to do with her obsession with shipping and smut, because it's apparently the only thing she actually gives a damn about or even tries to play. Everything else gets completely ignored in favor of chasing dick, with occasional whine-fests on plurk about how she's out of touch/doesn't know what to do with Luke/doesn't know how to get him more involved. Which would be just as shitty in a game that's not about shipping or smut were she playing a female character. Or a guy chasing pussy. She should stick to PSLs where it can be ALL about Luke and getting him laid or suck it the hell up and actually play.
The accusation of homophobia wasn't even made at the jerk who characterized it as whiny gay drama, but at the person who asked if Luke ever does anything but obsess over Sinjir. Which is almost all he does. At length.
Have you seriously missed the part where DWRP gets its panties in a crusty, twisted wad over every single female character who even looks like they might be interested in shipping and how they're pretty much all characterized as cockhops?
Honestly I sympathize with what you're saying, but "Who would put this cateared child in charge of the yakuza" is the kind of hilarious character dissonance you can only find in crosscanon RP and I live for that shit. Different strokes!
right? she talks a big game about how the game is HERS and how much she puts herself into the game, but that's a load of bullshit.
i have it on good authority that even though she's the head mod, she frequently leaves her other mods in the dark about plots, causing mass confusion throughout the whole playerbase and frustration among her other mods. she also barely ever does any mod duties. almost everything gets done by her second-in-command, Ichi.
newsflash, princess, being head mod means you actually have to take responsibility and do shit yourself, not shove it all onto one person all the time.
yeah, that would be great, if the player of the cat-eared little shit didn't insist on turning the character's insufferable behavior up to 11 because the player is mad that their character isn't getting respect.
you really can't win with a female character. queer-fetishizing fujoshi despise you for getting in the way of sacred m/m, and playing a bi or lesbian character means you're automatically a neckbeard unless you play her as an innocent virginal waif.
One of the mods (not the one who made the plurk) and one of the players had an argument in a third person's plurk. Said argument ends with the mod defriending the player on plurk. This is the fallout from that, I assume.
Actually, Ichi does shit. The current plot (which started this mess) is her brainchild. A lot of the problems we're having now stem from the fact she tossed this plot at us with no information explaining it and promptly declaring she wouldn't be around for several days because a friend was over I guess.
Fast forward a few weeks, enough people have complained that she finally asses herself to put some info together explaining this plot is going to be several months long, a bunch of the characters who opted to be affected/rendered sick by the plot events would be mutating into daemons soon, and ultimately dying. Nothing can cure them, they're just gonna die.
Apparently this wasn't worth any communication whatsoever? I don't have a lot of glowing praise to say about Jeni, but Ichi does shit.
DWRP gets its panties in a bunch over shipping, period, but let's not pretend like m/m isn't shat on either, considering how much people here like to cry about 'fujoshis' when the majority of people playing m/m (and f/f) are LGB themselves.
These things are not mutually exclusive. Homophobia is an issue across the board, period, and the fact that DWRP likes to cry about 'cockhops' doesn't erase the fact that this thread is full of homophobia too. Don't like someone's activity? Concrit, or report to the mods if it's a concurrent issue. Don't like someone's ship? You better have a damn good reason beyond 'people are not regurgitating canon'.
And then you all have the gall to whine about this hobby getting stale.
On a tangent though, I wish we would stop talking about mod ~professionalism~ or comparing them to bosses with disgruntled employees (wtf). It contributes to both the treatment of mods like they aren't human and the mod complexes that they have some kind of complete control over what happens in the game.
Can't you just say "you're being a dramawhore by talking about this in public" without dragging professionalism into it?
agreed, mods are only human and are allowed to get annoyed over stuff. i would agree it's not cool if their plurk is public but if it's private, i don't see the harm in venting since it's not like random people are going to be stumbling across it.
