either try crit or cut ties. you're not joined at the hip with a person just because you introduced them to a game, but if they're not overtly batshit insane you might give a shot at telling them they need dandruff shampoo before cutting them loose

some places have designated trick-or-treats at other times because the neighborhoods aren't safe to go out at night and halloween is often on a weekday when kids are in school when it's light out
just remember your jacket next week when you head to a christmas party
it was this promotional thing at the local baseball field. a bunch of companies sent people out to give away candy and hand out coupons and flyers and crap promoting their stuff. kids heard about it at school and it's a one day only thing so i had to drop all my plans for the evening to take them
it wasn't terrible and i'm glad i took them for their sake, but standing outside for an hour as the only idiot in short sleeves was not fun

when i was a kid, there was a special pre-halloween trick or treat downtown to encourage local shopping. it's not that big a deal.
