That's... not really how thermodynamics work. Insulin, endocrine systems, etcetera do affect the body's ability to store excess energy, but no one has ever gained 200 excess pounds from "hormone imbalance" alone. If they had, they would be a medical miracle.

basically what the other anon said. they take a "my party, right or wrong" approach to communism/socialism and basically refuse to be critical of, and often even praise, governments and leaders that have committed terrible acts.

in some cases, yeah, a lot of the stuff attributed to some communist regimes is a lot of blown up anti-red propaganda cooked up and spread around but isn't really based in any truth. but there's plenty of historical proof that, say, stalin was a bit of a fucking shithead. but tankies still talk about stalin like he was a great person/leader.

i have hypothyroidism and hormone issues and yes, they can make you gain weight, but that's because they slow your metabolism down and make it less efficient than a regular person's. you might gain 10-20 lbs but it's not going to cause you to balloon that much if you're otherwise eating properly and getting exercise.
