I have a few plot ideas and setting ideas I'm interested in, but I don't want to just insist that we go with everything I want. I know you can't please all the people all of the time, but I figure people are going to be more likely to want to help if they get some say in the type of game and setting it will be.
I want to stick to a drama/adventure genre with a focus on CR-building and characters working together. I want to allow for villainous/antagonistic characters to app in and actually be able to be villainous instead of always catering to the happy fluffy shounen hero types. I want an open, explorable map with new places to find, but definite boundaries, or a completely enclosed space that has areas that can be unlocked, like a sealed building or a ship at sea or in space.
I personally like survival games with a horror aspect, but full-on horror games never seem to go well. I personally like situations and events that encourage teamwork. I recognize that compromise is paramount, so I am fully open to input from other people who would want to build something together, but once we settle on what we want to do, I want it to be concrete and settled, instead of the wishy-washy genre-morphing We-Changed-Our-Minds stuff a lot of games seem to do these days.
This is why I want to get some like-minded people involved, and start up a discord server to hash out ideas.

so your idea of new and different is yet another iteration of the same old survival with a hint of horror games where characters have to "work together and survive"
aka you just shove people in tents or a ghost town in a wasteland instead of having to go through the worldbuilding effort of crafting a unique setting with shit for characters to do besides deal with monsters and not die of starvation
these kind of games were already oversaturated and stale five years ago

because posting your game ideas here is a stupid move that would come back to haunt you if you did end up making the game
there's games running right now that are more creative than this but 'all current game mods are doing it wrong unlike me' so you'll dismiss them if anyone mentions them probably
