It's an issue because the people saying "the homestucks were being weird about it" probably just don't like homestucks in general or something like that. I'm pretty sure that if this happened with two random lesser-known characters, anons wouldn't be going "well both sides were bad" about this.

If you've blocked someone to avoid them entirely, why would you tag into a post dedicated to one of their characters?

not that anyone here comes out smelling like roses, but a block is not the all-consuming forcefield anons seem to think it is and isnt always a personal issue. if it hurts your feelings thats valid, but blocking isnt some secret code for "may your womb be barren" or whatever anons try to spin out of it

I feel like we're having some kind of miscommunication here, because what you're describing (not wanting to see their hot takes or begging plurks) is something I deal with by either unfollowing them or unfriending them. That way, even if they're not on your timeline, they can still PM you or tag into your plotting plurks (if you just unfollowed) as a way of communication to facilitate RP. Blocking, on the other hand, is reserved for "I don't want to talk to you ever again, don't tag my characters" levels of cutting someone off.

yes when i said "hot takes" this is more what i meant, when youre so sick of them you also dont want to see them in mutual's plurks

pretty sure youll also still see people replurking them but i dont actually use these tools often so i could be wrong

If someone's hot takes bother you so much that you never want to see them talk and are blocking them so that you never see them talk, then it might be best not to RP with them at all. I'm all for curating your own experience in RP, but going "I'm blocking you but I'm still going to tag you" is pretty silly and will likely get the response that Bee got from the homestucks.

imo "getting their finger bitten off" has the same effect as "getting their head bitten off" which is an idiom everyone uses all the time (you might be ESL so just explaining)

making it "finger" or "fingers" makes sense in this context because we're all typing, not speaking

it's just an idiom, not an expression of violence

not wanting to tag somebody who apparently dislikes me so much that they can't handle seeing me talk ooc at all =! expecting to be bffs with everyone i tag
