I'm having one of those days where I want to boot out all my annoying players and lock my game down to a private game where I don't have to accept every rando who half-asses an app. I'm so sick of every complaint coming down to something that's being caused by the same handful of people. Being fair sucks.

when you measure include the measurer. there is a concept in courts and govt agencies about administrative efficiency. basically, if you have a limited amount of time/money/people to throw at a problem, you are justified in taking steps to make the rest of your very important workload manageable.

your time is a resource. your energy is a resource. if it gets drained in ways you didn't anticipate, that's not fair to you or the players who aren't problems. you can boot people who are wasting your time, anonmod. youre running a game, not a charity asylum. and even if you WERE running a charity asylum, you could still boot people who took so much care you couldnt give proper care to the much larger population of the rest of the asylum.

why did i write this faq if no one reads it

if it's a repeated/recurring problem, it might be because of HOW you've written it. i've seen games where the faqs were so dense that my eyes glazed over just trying to find basic game info.

if u never tag out and never tag back then why do u musedump what is the point

one of the most popular players in my old game was a cheerful, upbeat person who made an active effort to tag newbies and make them feel welcome. make of that what you will.

+1 i remember asking a question once and the mods answered it, but not without a pa barb about how the information was already answered in the faq. i double-checked to see if it was on the faq and i missed it but it wasn't there. turns out they answered it in one of the comments and didn't update the actual faq, and expected me to shift through fifteen pages worth of faq comments to find the answer to my question.

at this point i think it's too soon and you are right that they enforced a boundary with me. blocking speaks pretty loudly in itself. sometimes people just want to be left alone when they've been hurt so any apology now would feel self-indulgent on my part.

i'm sorry you went through that. at this point if i did anything to approach them i feel as if i would be ignoring their wishes. i think that it is impossible to prove that to them because they want nothing to do with me and frankly, i don't blame them. i don't want to put them on the spot to hear an apology they might not be ready for. i won't say i never will but i don't want to make things worse.

i do hope you get your apology anon and that you can start to heal.

our characters are my otp and always will be, but it's plain to see that you've been unhealthily invested in your muse for years. ic/ooc bleed, taking personal offense when cr goes bad, the works. i know you have professional help already, but i still can't help but find myself worrying about you all the time. i'm so relieved you're playing another character again after so long, at least... i really hope it helps you detach some and find a new creative outlet outside of that old favorite muse.

i don't mind waiting to write our ship again. you aren't just my longtime rp partner, you are my friend. i care about you first and foremost and i always have.

the bitter betties crawl out of the woodwork and talk venomously about you, plus the crazies latch on and get overinvested and dramatic and pee in territorial circles

+1 It's easy to go overboard on detail in a way that makes it hard to actually find the important stuff. I don't entirely blame the mods for that, it's super common in all kinds of informational writing and I have the same problem writing professional documentation, but if it's a repeated issue it's a good sign you should edit the FAQ for readability.

i'm not comfortable with saying all of the details but i was a bad friend and became very passive aggressive and clingy. i didn't go behind their backs to start drama or some elaborate plot to ruin their life but i was too invested in our friendship and was a bad friend who hurt them and the damage is done. the decision to part ways was kind of one sided on their end and i reacted poorly at the time, which i regret and is why i wish i could apologize. i accept it and i noticed i was blocked after our conversation so i don't want to seek them out when that would probably just make them uncomfortable or worse.

I distanced myself from Hetalia fandom way back when they had the Germany+Prussia photoshoot outside the Holocaust museum during Anime Boston I'm not even surprised this is a thing.

If one person has a problem with written directions, they're probably reading it wrong.

If three or more people have problem with your directions, you probably wrote it wrong.
