I wrote this when I was emotional and tired. I'm not saying I'm completely over it because I'm not but it was reactive.

I don't want to go into a lot of detail but I did change my behavior at first before it reverted again, so I can see why said person was disillusioned. There's no point into going into the why's now. As for making them wait, I had some serious life issue stuff going on at the time which affected my patience and tolerance for rp related issues severely. Looking back I should have just stopped rp for that time, I tried to explain it to said person but I did react poorly and I am one of those anxiety chihuahuas. I think they ran out of patience.

You may be right that I'm not owed an apology but I still would have appreciated one because I can't say we were just strangers. Shit just hurts but I don't blame them either and I'm frustrated at myself for letting a hobby ruin a friendship.

Fwiw I was expecting my response to be ignored or met with defensiveness, but your openness and willing to look back and reflect is way more mature than what I recently saw a person in your shoes react with. Honestly it’s more mature than a lot of what I see in dwrp these days. Like I said in my first comment, I’m pretty jaded about the social part of this hobby. But I will still say that you seem like you’d already handle this differently now than you did in the moment and that’s good. I’m not trying to be condescending though it probably still comes off that way, but no, I’m genuinely impressed.

I didn't take it to be condescending, and thank you. I can understand being jaded in this hobby, but your rp partner is lucky to know someone with your insight and maturity. I hope things get better for them and they get better for you too.
