I hope your friend doesn't react badly if you do choose to tell them why you don't want to play with them because that would be entirely on them. thank you, and thanks to everyone else who gave good-faith replies. it's true that i don't need to explain myself and i got stuck thinking i would have to. i guess i'm just really afraid of offending my friend. they're a good person, i just really don't want to play with their trans hc characters.

no worries anon. i'm one of the trans anons in the thread complaining about stuff like this so sorry if anything got out of hand lol. i don't play trans hcs or against them but i would be more concerned if they did get really offended if you just said you didn't want to do it because of the hcs. opt outs and things like that exist for a reason and they should respect your boundaries there too, especially considering you're trying to respect theirs.

and if they see you rping the ship with someone else without those hcs... well, lmao maybe they'll realise something.
