if someone is being that defensive out of the gate when you haven't even indicated an interest in shipping with them, you're probably dodging a bullet. still sucks when people make assumptions about your motives and i feel your pain anon.

Someone in my cast keeps chasing off prospective players with that attitude. Every time someone new shows up on a TDM, they preface everything they say with "btw I don't ship [new character] with [established character]!". It's not even a canon ship, they're just that obsessed with some fandom discourse they read on Twitter.
