some of y'all are so far up your own asses about characters needing to be ~deep and multidimensional~ before someone's allowed to rp them

half the appeal of rp is taking a character and doing more with them than what's shown in canon

tbf a lot of game applications are built around the assumption that any character worth playing is deep and multidimensional so it's not surprising that that belief would start soaking into people's minds

if they really thought "people" always meant "a majority of people" unless explicitly stated otherwise, they'd have said something like "most people aren't in dwrp at all, touch grass." they're obviously capable of inferring implied qualifiers from context. they just want to start shit.

fair, but i think most of us could write a passable app for any of those encanto characters.

especially nowadays with a lot of games finding ways to move away from the essay-like apps of the past.

but even then, i could probably still give you a good four paragraphs on most of those character, and i haven't even seen the movie. this shit isn't actually that hard.

always a hoot when anons act like apps actually do anything to control quality or demonstrate more than the lowest baseline understanding of a character

if youve done this before you can read a wiki page about a character youve never heard of before and probably still write an app that most games would deem acceptable

this is why i roll my eyes whenever i see people claiming that apps are too hard/take too much time. i can write an app for just about any character that would get me into pretty much any game in under an hour.

yeah tbh and i hate apps. they take me too much time because i find them an irritating obligation and that makes me put them off, not because they're hard
