hot take - you're the obnoxious one. getting mad you can't icly trash on a character and running to wg to cry about it is just silly.

also you've jumped a stretch from "my character icly insulted their's appearance and it oocly irritated them" to "they mad no one wants to fuck their character." and even if they are, so what? why does their desire to get their character laid and not insulted offend you so much? because you're feeling particularly entitled to get to take the easy shot at their character because you're not creative enough to think of a funnier joke?

like anon above said, they probably were okay with the jokes before and now they're just exhausted by it. can't blame them. just like people who app villains get exhausted of coming in and being instantly called out for being the bad guy or having the bad guy name, sometimes the joke gets old and people want a chance to rp past that part.

a character making a jab at another character doesn't even need to be a whole thing if you don't want it to be the center of a thread

there's this thing we as roleplayers do called writing, idk if you've heard of it, but word on the street is you can actually choose where to steer a conversation and not throw a hissy fit oocly because you're tired of something that should be reasonably expected to happen

also idk in what world you think someone should pick up a character that they don't think is unattractive but others do so that means they should expect to have that character constantly made fun of icly and the onus is on them to get over it?

that's a thing that can happen if it's ic for a character to do so. sorry if the player is such a psycho that they take it personally if an icly crass and bitchy character is crass and bitchy to theirs lmfao. what's being an annoying asshole about writing a character as they're (presumably) meant to be played and then calling someone out for being obnoxious and overdefensive when they drag it into ooc interactions?

some characters do shit like that. if it bothers you so bad then consider trying a different hobby

anon you can argue till the cows come home but rp is a collaborative effort where not everyone is here to be your character's happy pump so you can do whatever you want consequence free and some people actually endeavor to create an enjoyable rp experience for both parties.

so yeah you want to play the bitchy and crass character? don't cry when it gets old and people are tired of your shit cause you don't know when to rein it in because "well ackshually that's just what my character would do." some people don't like characters that do stuff like that. if it bothers you so much try finding a different hobby that's all about your needs and not about the collaborative experience.

if you don't want a thread to go in the direction of your character being picked on then the option is right there to say as much to the person you're threading with instead of being pissy in ooc communication because your partner isn't a mind reader and doesn't know that a character's comments are going to rub you the wrong way

people who play bitchy and crass characters shouldn't have to second guess whether every minor interaction is going to be the nail in the coffin for their thread partner's ooc tolerance and in the event that it is an issue instead of being a baby about it, just say 'hey, i get this kind of thing pretty often and i'd really prefer if we could take this in a different direction, do you mind editing your reply or if we derail into something else?'

it would be a different matter if this specific character was always being a contrary jackass but as far as we know this was a one off comment made icly that for whatever reason was taken out of ic boundaries. op isn't at fault for playing their character and crossing some impossible to foresee boundary
