I always thought Nona was a joke because it's a misspelling of anon but also implying that we're old grannies now

i feel like nona as a term is actually the general one used on a different anon comm (ij maybe?) but that probably isn't why people started using it, it's just a cute thing like 'nonny' ig

to me nona is cuter than nonny and feels less passive aggressive somehow
