Several different games that had these kinds of investigations? Especially ones slightly smaller than this usually have the mods on the back burner unless they're answering questions. The players do all the organization, the posts, the town halls, etc, usually with a pretty good discord component which this game now also has.

If you're used to big games where the mods structure everything, that's fine. But it's not the only way to do things and it doesn't mean the player has done something untoward.

i know that way back in the day luceti used to have an entire character-run information network where characters would share information with each other in a format not accessible to the captor npcs, hold meetings/town halls, etc.

hi, i'm the anon who doesn't go to this game and was asking about the situation.

to me, as someone who only looked at the link because someone linked it here, outside of every piece of context, this reads like someone saying that a plot was too vague and like they thought the game needed a summary of current events. you guys are talking about it on the level of someone running a player plot where they go spelunking in some mysterious mines. so this isn't actually someone revising an event post or something? is it a writeup where they're asking people to collab with them?

I still feel like I'm missing context. maybe it's the tone of the thing, I don't know.

it's just a list of mod responses to questions cataloged in one place, so people don't have to dig through half a dozen other threads to find them.

They literally just compiled information across four posts in one place for everyone because people were missing things between them.

I thought it was helpful. I knew a lot of this already but my character didn’t. Since people put up info logs after the post, I can have my character know things now.
