so mods basically just note down their ip and delete/freeze their shit when it happens? or can you actually block accounts tied to a person from commenting altogether

yes, as gets pointed out every time some brilliant anon suggests it and which has been the case for literally decades, it is not possible to block ips from commenting. you can only block specific journals.

it's not possible to ban someone in the traditional sense but the mods hit gsai where it hurts, i.e. banning them from logging in and smearing themselves all over the comm. they also did confirm they were coordinating with mods of other communities, so it's possible they got pre-banned from games because of this on top of their embarrassing plurk meltdown being public knowledge. it definitely wasn't for naught.

they also confirmed they recognized his ip address and comments from a history of patterns, and i believe they do freeze and delete those threads if they see them now?

i don't know if the rpanon mods ever onfirmed they freeze/delete threads with gsai's ip, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. denise can and will axe someone from the site if they try to log in and harass a comm or a journal, so they've effectively been iced out there.

They pretty much were banned and prebanned from every comm around at the time except bakerstreet, Avalon, and databurst.

not like it was hard to figure out his ip. One of the games he was in at the time forgot to turn off public ip logging on the comms so it was right out there in the open for everyone to see.

I can’t help why Jigoku-cho’s mods let Gsai into the game if everywhere else banned him.

Maybe they don’t know it’s him?

I know people think everyone knows about gsai but plenty of people don't. Contrary to popular belief plenty of people don't frequent anon comms still, and there's a chance these mods don't.

my understanding was that wank fishing is when you post something like "what's my pet wanker up to? any new deets?" hoping another anon will come up with something to wank over, regardless of the person's history or how well known they are

As the anon who posted the link to the thread where Gmail was outed, I have never felt more seen by a generalization about wank habits.

The wank librarians try to keep a proper 8-4, but many of us work the support line after hours. The 24/7 chat might send you to an overseas support center.
