oh i was aware of the context, just still couldn't tell

if it's not satire it's definitely projecting

as if it's not projecting to see someone say "everyone's got a little anxiety", which is a fully understandable statement given the shape of the world we live in at the moment, and leaping to the fact that they're diagnosing masses of people with anxiety disorders, but sure, the comment you replied to is the one that needs to be asked if it's satire.

aww look it's the anxiety chihuahuas out to try and defend themselves in the wilds of anon, just like clockwork

but no, for context the plurk was definitely talking about someone having an anxiety disorder that they're medicated for and the rl consequences of it

and then some twat comes in like "that's dumb, who doesn't have anxiety??"

which is why I said in the first place that yes everyone feels anxiety as an emotion but not everyone has an anxiety disorder. unless you're a shut-in who gets their whole social landscape off of plurk this shouldn't be a shocker but there's a difference between having an anxiety disorder and being under a lot of stress and strain from life and the state of the world

that's why one is a disorder and the other is something that everyone living in the world is having to cope with

the context of the plurk was job discrimination, you fool.

the context of the plurk was someone going for a job in a fast paced and high stress environment and the people hiring them having doubts about their capacity to do the job

people can and should have accommodations made for them at work so that they'll be able to work and get hired, but at the same time employers have a responsibility to not hire people into jobs if they know it's impossible to make the necessary accommodations for them. that's not discrimination. that's a necessary concern for everyone in the workplace. you still have to be able to do the basic job

everyone feeling some anxiety in life is not the same as everyone having an anxiety disorder which is the whole reason that the anxiety disorder came up as an issue. responding to the situation with "everyone has anxiety" is just obtuse

not everyone is on anxiety medication, not everyone would have the first reason to say anything at all about anxiety to a prospective employer. an anxiety disorder is different than just feeling a bit anxious about shit in life

do you not have to worry about your grocery budget because you still have mommy bringing you tendies for dinner every night? i'm just wondering what kind of world you're living in right now

"no one has discretionary income because i don't" and the implication that if you're not worried about anything you must live with your parents is just silly
