I'm all for leaving if your workplace is toxic. However I have to keep in mind that training someone new costs a LOT of time, effort and money. I'm going to need to be convinced to move someone forward in the process who has had a new job every single year for 8+ years. And I get a lot of those.

Other than that, I do look for areas on their resume where they did stay at a job for 3-4 years, even if there are a bunch of one year long stints after that. I'm also on the lookout for why they left, mostly if it's a contract job. PLEASE put some indicator that the work was a contract/seasonal or otherwise I'm going to think you just don't want to stay anywhere. Sure, we can have a phone interview to talk about why you left 8 jobs in 8 years but there aren't enough hours in the day for me to do that with every candidate who does this.
