why yes blobbidydoo once was a notorious walker back in 2014 but after a long series of events she ended up in wanker jail, but since being released she's seen the wrong of her past ways and now runs a wanker non-profit game that helps give ex-wankers a chance to rehabilitate themselves and return to society, very hopeful story

yes, it's a game run by people like you and I who make it their hobby to constantly tell their players that they can't do anything, say no to every suggestion, say no to every request, and micromanage to such a degree that they have players needing to ask if Spiderman can use his webs to rescue people from a hole in the ground

and then they wonder why they're spread thin and overworked

this is a mod team that acts like everything they say is SUPER IMPORTANT for the """plot""" that doesn't exist. (remember the wings that absolutely HAD to be white and COULDN'T be any other color, and the nightmares that absolutely HAD to be something other than a character from someone's past?) if they just got over themselves and stopped trying to keep such a stranglehold on every aspect of a sandbox where all the events are all nothing but rehashed "food/item/place makes you horny" then maybe they'd see that it's ok for them to unclench and the game would still run and people would have at least as much if not more fun than they're having now

the wing plot wasn't even that big but it gets brought up on here every single time there's an angry comment about the mods, wtf. i know maybe one or two people who tried to have different colored wings but according to a handful of anons here it was a HUUUGE DEAL that they had to have white wings in some shitty little valentines day plot

personally i don't think it's the mods who need to unclench when players like you are holding a grudge about your special snowflake not being able to have pretty purple wings from months ago

the problem with the wings thing was that some idiot chinese wizard made a big ass network post that no one could avoid seeing so the mods came down on it for clarification purposes when it was written right there in the plot post.

i've been in the game for a little while and i just do whatever i want. if you ask the mods they're just going to say no so just play out your plots and do your thing in logs and inboxes, which they never read. as long as you're not blowing up parts of the city you don't actually need to ask permission for everything.

it absolutely is a problem with the mods when it's been produced by the attitude of the mods who have made it a habit to make game-wide announcements scolding players from taking any ounce of initiative to make use of events in the simplest of ways that don't make any damn difference to anyone because it's a stupid smut game so who cares

personally I don't give a fuck about wings but I do care about the mods acting like it's appropriate to put the whole game on blast for stupid petty bullshit and who come in to tell people what they can and can't play with their CR, making them feel like they're going to get scolded or told off for no reason

to be fair, the answer to both is 'no'.

ngl, i LOVED balance. sure, it had its problem players but for most of its run it was super engaging and i would kill for a game where my character had a final fantasy job again and could use those job skills on missions to actually make a difference in the outcome.

like what was discussed above with bad mods, it fell apart because of a shitty mod driving all their co mods away, refusing to come up with reasonable solutions to a game changing mission failure, and throwing us all into a memloss plot on literally the penultimate plot before the game's set conclusion. when no one wanted to play out that shit, the head mod closed the game and ran off.

not the above anon BUT to clarify, for anyone still focused on this dumbass thread, i did a bit of looking around: the wings plot took place in feb 2021 and people are still fucking bent about it.

Certain characters end up sprouting small white angel wings and go through the uncomfortable process of the feathers coming in/molting. These wings can flap but the affected character won’t be able to fly.

from the plot post. no one was reprimanded publicly but someone was told to adjust the post they put on the network.

looking back through the ooc community, the only note for the whole community that was "put on blast" was in march 2021 when someone had their dualcam clone going around sexually assaulting people and was told to knock it off.

sounds like someone still holds a wholeass grudgeboner because they weren't following the rules.

happened with the anduin player who has since left the game

mods approved powers on the app then when they were used came in and said it wasn't ok to use them
