for some reason this is truly sending me. like they're trying to confirm something without actually saying shit, because to do so would mean going off anon.

as someone who left maybe three sock comments on their modpost (and sent one private message), each one worded very civilly, only to have those comments ignored if not outright deleted? this is extra hilarious. of course they're gonna claim harrassment without screencaps to prove them liars.

what's bananas to me is that it doesn't look like they made any other official statement about the game closing, it looks like? i think the volunteer post is still up but there's nothing concrete saying the game is closed. now the plurk is locked down, there really isn't anything other than these screencaps, so if you were a current player who wasn't around during those two days or have a plurk, you'd probably still be in the dark about the game's status.

won't lie, i have never heard of this term before and had no idea what that meant when i saw the plurk. thank you for illuminating me.

Basically, "going into business for yourself" is when a wrestler goes off-script to make themselves look good. If you're supposed to lose while making the other person look like they overpowered you after a fair fight and you just walk into the ring and immediately lie down, you're going into business for yourself for failing to make it look like a fair fight. It also gets thrown around when people say things that they weren't authorized to say.

the infuriating thing is that the """apology""" isn't even trying to apologize for anything that people were expecting apologies for and was just trying to re-write the situation to be all about the mod account doing something on discord

it's funny to me because seeing gonsai's response in the mod plurk where they still avoid actually naming themselves as a mod outright, was bee really wrong to assume that it was going to be non-negotiable? did gonsai really think they would have handled the discord conversation any better?

tbh bee sucks but i do feel a little sorry for her over becoming their convenient "fall guy" for closing the game.

Bee sucks. She used being a mod to make her characters ultra speshul in the game and bullied players. She was still a shit mod so I don’t feel sorry for her.

bee should give up the other mods. it doesn't seem fair that they get to act like innocent bystanders when her name is mud.

agreed. gonsai threw her under the bus and more or less blamed her for closing the game. i don't think any of the spurned players would hold it against her for outing the mod team.

anything to shift optics and make someone not-gsai out to be the REAL problem
