i, too, have a studied distaste for joyful dorkiness. now to sign into my arpee account on a withering ancient website. my username for my woobie pillowqueen loki account is "lokingood." i think he is perfectly IC and am prepared to make my case about this for several hours to anyone who will listen.
i immediately navigate to "bakerstreet," and scroll through several "memes" - a term used in the community to refer to a kind of themed directory-graveyard, where dozens of accounts just like mine post empty comments then leave. getting no replies, and also giving no replies, i make haste for my plurk (neet twitter) account, so i can read a bunch of my arpee acquaintances talking about how their coffee makers are broken and how they want to post their characters getting spanked. i make a post about how i like broth. nobody replies. i have no replied to any of their coffee maker discussions, but thats because those discussions dont interest me.
not for the first time, i wonder why theres no "new blood" in the community. i am certain its unrelated to the fact that i hate fun, but am willing to spend several hours doing what are essentially meaningless bureaucratic tasks in anticipation that someone else will rain fun (appropriately bland and dry fun, of course) on me.
oh my god, i just noticed. someone on bakerstreet did one of the bureaucratic tasks in a manner i find aesthetically displeasing. i run full speed to "wankgate," the community watering hole for policing serious mental illness and unserious aesthetic faults.
"someone had fun on a meme," i post, using different words so people think its a moral argument rather than a spiteful one. i make it look more like "why would anyone think it was ok to do voiceacting tags?"
